EST Helps Gas Heating Installers
Posted: 13/06/2005
The Energy Saving Trust (EST) is taking action to help gas heating installers explain to their customers the implications of recent changes to part L of the Building Regulations which came in to force on 1st April. Installers are being encouraged to call EST's helpline to obtain copies of a practical guide for householders which lays out the energy efficiency standards for new and replacement boilers in their homes.
The leaflet, produced by the ODPM, provides a simple explanation of the role of condensing boilers and advice on the actions householders may need to take. Richard Bawden, Trade Partnerships Manager at the Energy Saving Trust, said: "It's crucial that we help householders understand the impact of the new regulations when buying boilers for their homes and this leaflet provides installers with a simple and easy way of doing that."
To obtain free copies of the guide, installers should call EST on 0845 727 7200.
