Conference: Second Photovoltaic Science, Applications and Technology Conference
14 - 15 April 2005. Loughborough.
PVSAT2 follows up the successful meeting at Loughborough in 2003. Much exciting progress has occurred PV in the UK since then. Two major SUPERGEN projects in PV have been funded by the EPSRC and the DTI’s technology and demonstration programmes have had remarkable results. The industrial sector has been strengthened by two new module production companies in Sharp and Romag. Future energy supply is again high on the public agenda. PVSAT 2 gives an ideal opportunity to state the case for PV as the sustainable energy of the future. The conference will take place in the purpose built Holywell Park Conference Centre and leading UK PV companies have committed themselves to the associated exhibition.

- How much solar resource is available in Britain?
- When should we choose one renewable source compared to another?
- How can we fund renewable energy installations?
- How can renewables help raise our profile and public image?
- When should we focus on energy efficiency, and when should we look at renewables?
