This practical book shows you all the tricks of the natural plastering trade, including how to use lime, earth and gypsum plasters to create stunning looking walls.

The authors, Cedar Rose Guelberth and Dan Chiras, certainly know their stuff with many, many years of practical experience, which always makes for the most interesting reading.

Although this book is all about natural plasters, as a bonus it dedicates a number of chapters to natural building structures; straw bale, cob, rammed earth and tyres (earthship style) are also included. The authors go into quite a lot of practical detail, certainly for the straw building. So much so that the book could just as easily have been titled 'The Natural Building and Plaster Book.'   

This practical book is highly recommended and makes for fascinating reading and the editor of Building for a Future magazine was so enthralled by this book that he carried out a practical review where he created a fantastic sun and moon mural in lime plaster which transformed an ordinary concrete block wall into a work of art.
